It's been an intense journey so far with no signs of letting up. It's always that way with a new business. There are so many things to do, emails to send and respond to, social media pages to set up. These days I'm more thankful than ever for caffeine!
Yesterday we got three new sponsors for our GCS event for Aug 7-10; Fishman, Transcribe!, and Taytrix. I bought Fishman's TriplePlay wireless midi system years ago and later joined the company to do many demos of the unit around the globe. It ain't your grandma's midi system! The sounds are in your laptop so the transport is simple and light plus you don't have to cart a 13 pin cable around, or any cable for that matter. Their newest release is wired and designed for the iPad. You get access to a bazillion sounds! It's perfect for writing and performing.
Next up is the app called Transcribe! (by SeventhString) which I'll be doing a class on during the symposium. It's the world's most powerful music learning app. It allows you to slow music down, loop sections, organize with markers, remove vocals or lead instruments, remove bass or alter any other EQ frequencies plus it has a speed trainer. I've been using it for many years and always use it to learn tunes and practice.
We've done a couple live streams about GCS (with Nili Brosh, Gretchen Menn, and Vicki Genfan) available on my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/JenniferBatten1 in the Guitar Cloud Symposium playlist.
And the third sponsor is Taytrix portable gobos https://www.taytrix.com/. They sell the coolest 'cone of silence' modular gobos that let you build walls, booths or guitar amp enclosures easily and quickly, giving you an endless array of sonic possibilities for recording at home or in the studio.
Some of Taytrix's Clients: Sting , Harry Connick Jr., John Lennon Educational Tourbus , Bruce Springstein , Pixar, Warner Brothers
And welcome David Wallimann who's support has gone above and beyond. Check out his amazing YouTube channel. Click on his logo below.
**Laura Whitmore will be joining us for a live stream on my Facebook pages and YouTube channel at noon Wednesday. She's is the force behind the She Rocks Award events that happen during the NAMM shows every year as well as WIMN; The Women's International Music Network organization and podcast.
